Probleme in mehrsprachigen Situationen. Zur Grundlegung des Lernziels plurilinguale Kompetenz

Abstract

Mehrsprachige Situationen sind heute in der internationalen Geschäftskommunikation das Normale. Bei ihrer Arbeit verwenden die MitarbeiterInnen in internationalen Unternehmen mehrere Sprachen, was aber auch mit Problemen verbunden sein kann. Doch welche sind die Probleme und wie werden sie gelöst? Zu diesen Fragen wurden in einer Sprachenbedarfsstudie Antworten erfasst und ausgewertet. Ihre Analyse bildet die Basis für eine inhaltliche Grundlegung des Begriffs plurilinguale Kompetenz, welche als Lernziel für plurilinguale Kurse unter anderem Sprachenwechsel, Codeswitching, Sprachenmittlung und Transfer umfasst. Für die Mehrsprachigkeitsdidaktik ergänzt der Begriff plurilinguale Kompetenz den allgemeineren Begriff kommunikative Kompetenz und betont die immanent mehrsprachigen Aspekte.

Multilingual situations are common in international business communication. Individual employees in internationalized firms use multiple languages when carrying out their work, but this can lead to problems. The question investigated was, what problems do they meet and how do they solve these problems? Based on a language needs analysis, the answers were used to form a content-related foundation for plurilingual courses using the concept of plurilingual proficiency, which entails language alternation, code-switching, mediation and transfer as the learning objectives. For the didactics of multiple language learning, the term plurilingual proficiency augments the notion of communicative competence by emphasizing the essential multilingual aspects.
